You spend a lot of time with your personal trainer and it is important to feel like you can like the person. Additionally, look for a personal trainer who offers a thorough consultation as part of your training package and talks about goal setting and tracking. This is a critical process for achieving your goals, and crucial for any good PT to include. If this is not something your PT talks about doing before you commit to training with them you could ask them what the plan is for this and how they track goals. My view though, if they haven’t mentioned this I would probably steer clear in the first place as it may be they are not experienced in this field or do not track clients’ progress.

I LOVE to do before and after photos for my clients. It is so good for people to see where they have come from and so often we get inside our own heads and still think we are the image before we embark on our training programme. Body dysmorphia is real, and see and hear it so much in my clients.
